What data we collect and why
Analytics data
We use Plausible Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. This service collects:
- Pages visited and navigation paths
- Approximate geographic region (country level)
- Device type and browser
- Referrer URL
Plausible is privacy-first by design — it does not use cookies, does not fingerprint individual users, and does not share data with advertisers. No personal data is collected. Data is aggregated, hosted in the EU, and cannot be used to identify you personally.
Legal basis: Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR) — understanding site usage to improve content for our readers. No consent is required as no personal data is processed.
Contact and correspondence
If you contact us via email or LinkedIn, we hold your name and email address for the purpose of responding to your enquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.

Newsletter subscriptions
If you sign up to our newsletter, we collect your email address. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send. We use a third-party email platform; their privacy policy will be linked in the subscription confirmation.
